Bushy Park is the second largest royal park in the UK capital city of London, you can call the park on their general enquiries phone number 0300 061 2250 for opening times, information about their playground and for updates on their deer population.
Bushy Park can be found close to the famous Hampton Court Palace in London and is the second largest royal park in the UK. As such there are plenty of natural and peaceful man-made structures to enjoy at the park such as Chestnut Avenue, where splendid horse chestnut trees line an old public thoroughfare. Bushy Park is also home to the Upper Lodge Water Gardens which is a baroque mishmash of pools, basins and a decorative canal. One of the most famous fountains in the world, the Diana, can also be found in Bushy Park standing proud in its similarly decorative plinth rising out of a clear pool of water.
Bushy Park playground
Bushy Park is an ideal place for families to visit on warm days from spring until autumn as it boasts an impressive outdoor playground alongside picturesque surroundings. The playground was refurbished relatively recently to comply with modern safety standards and now houses a timber climbing frame, a series of swings and a large sandpit. Seating for parents is provided around the edge of the playground as well as a shaded pergola area for when the British sunshine is at full blast.
See deer at Bushy Park
Bushy Park has a population of wild deer consisting of over 300 animals which roam freely throughout the year. Both red and fallow deer can be seen at the park which is an excellent opportunity for photographers to capture images of these splendid creatures. Please be aware that these are wild as opposed to tame deer thus you should proceed with caution when viewing them, particularly during the breeding season which takes place during September and October.
